Rippon Lea – Catherine & Alex
Everything about Catherine and Alex’s wedding day was elegant. The ceremony was held by the lake in the sprawling grounds at Rippon Lea Estate, their guests wandered through the lush greenery on this warm summers day guided by personalised signs to the ceremony location where the groom was waiting under a stunning floral archway.
“There were many special moments at our wedding, however the most special part for us was our ceremony in the gardens at Rippon Lea. We found a little spot next to the lake surrounded by trees, and bathed in dappled sunlight. It was magical.” Catherine recalls.
After the ceremony Alex had a special surprise for his blushing bride and their guests, arranging for there to be giant cookie jars of refreshing cocktails for everyone to enjoy in the summer sun whilst the bridal party ventured off to take some photos.
Catherine had a vision for a romantic, understated affair with art deco touches and, looking at the couple’s beautiful photos, it’s clear she achieved her goal. Simple bouquets featured on each of the table, perfectly complementing their personalised stationary. Catherine’s aunt who is a renowned ceramicist handmade the couples bonbonniere – spice bowls for each of the guests.
Catherine and Alex, along with all their closest friends and family, enjoyed danced the night away “under the stars” in the ballroom and making the most of the photo booth and hilarious props. The gorgeous new couple made their way around to all of their guests to personally say goodbye before jetting off to Thailand for the next chapter of their lives.
