Nick and Gilly met many years ago in high school where it was clear to everyone they were perfect together. Gilly’s Maid of Honour confirmed this in her touching speech when she said “It’s admirable the way that Nick and Gilly love each other. The way they always work as a team, and the way that they support each other, especially though hard times.”Gilly opted for a timeless neutral colour scheme for her wedding day, donning a delicate Jane hill gown and dressing her bridesmaids in elegant Carla Zampatti dresses. The colour palate was the perfect compliment to the bold back drops of both their ceremony, at St. Eustathios Greek Orthodox Church, and their breathtaking reception in the Great Hall, NGV.
This gorgeous couple were lucky enough to have their wedding co-inside with the Carsten Höller art installation earlier this year which featured a gleaming gold carousel; a focal point for pre dinner drinks and throughout the evening. The neutral table centrepieces were expertly balanced by the Great Hall’s bold colours and patterns of the stain glass ceiling, and were the perfect choice for such a grand space.
The newly weds enjoyed their first dance to “Songbird” by Fleetwood Mac, which could not have been a more perfect choice for a couple so clearly in love. The entire night was awash with incredible food and outstanding music helping the couple celebrate all the way to their Las Vegas honeymoon.
